FAQ: FAQ

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A COACH AND A THERAPIST, NUTRITIONIST, OR TREATMENT?

I help clients in building life skills and provide support when applying those skills. Often I work alongside therapists - who dive deeper into mental health matters. Therapists and nutritionists are certified providers equipped to give mental health and nutritional support. Coaching is not a substitute for clinical care.

DO YOU HAVE ANY REQUIREMENTS FOR US TO WORK TOGETHER?

If you are actively dealing with an eating disorder, I ask that you also work with a therapist and nutritionist to compliment our services.

ARE YOU QUALIFIED TO DO THIS WORK

I am an experienced eating disorder support group facilitator, Size Diversity educator, recovery speaker, certified Body Project facilitator, American College of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer, have a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Exercise Science, and Psychology, graduated from the Every Body is Beautiful Project, and have recovered from my own eating disorder.  My treatment included residental, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient treatment. I have been a coach for 8 years, and have enjoyed working in the eating disorders field since my own recovery.

WHAT DOES IT COST TO WORK WITH YOU?

It all depends on the plan we will create together to provide you with the best support, all based on what you want to work on. I work on a sliding scale so that my services are more accessible. Schedule a free consultation so we can determine the best options for you.

DO YOU PROVIDE GROUP COACHING?

Yes! I provide group services when I have at least 5 interested people. Group services create an opportunity for support at a lower cost while connecting with others who can relate to you. Please send me an email and I can let you know of any active groups with available spots, or create a new group with you and your peers!
